About Lessons

We use successful teaching techniques and a thorough curriculum. Our curriculum includes note-reading, rhythm, proper technique, interpretation of various styles of music, ensemble playing, music theory, ear training, and other musicianship skills. As in any skill acquisition, learning to play an instrument requires practice if any progress is to be made. Our instructors teach their students how to practice efficiently so they can make the best use of their practice time at home.

Dryer Music School offers private (one-on-one) lessons in piano, violin, viola, string bass, bass guitar, clarinet, and saxophone. Students typically take a weekly 45-minute or 60-minute lesson. 30-minute lessons are available for beginners or younger children, at the discretion of the teacher.
